Wedding Ceremony

Marriage equality in Australia

From 9 December 2017, sex or gender no longer affects the right to marry under Australian law and same-sex marriage is legal in Australia.

Your wedding day is undoubtedly one of the most important and memorable days of your life!  Your ceremony should be the highlight of your day, the precious moment when two people in love, formally declare their love for each other in front of families and friends.

Your wedding and ceremony should be perfect in every way, romantic, fun, professional and unforgettable … not only for the couple, but for everyone present.
It is important that we work together to create the perfect ceremony for you… about you!

Great communication means that together we can design a ceremony that reflects your relationship and fulfils your every wish of the day.

Commitment Ceremonies

The Australian people have spoken and same sex marriage has now been legalized (see ‘Weddings’).

However, I will continue to offer commitment ceremonies for couples, of any sex, who wish to make a declaration of their love and commitment to each other with no legal requirements or conditions.

To celebrate your special day, I will present you with a Certificate of Commitment, a copy of your ceremony.

Renewal of Vows Ceremonies

A Renewal of Vows Ceremony is a perfect way for a couple to express how they feel about their relationship years after their marriage ceremony.

This ceremony can be held as part of:

  • a significant wedding anniversary celebration, or
  • for couples who have chosen to marry overseas

The ceremony can be based on your original vows and the words used in your marriage ceremony, or by creating a whole new ceremony reflecting on your journey as a couple.

I would love to assist you in every aspect of your day, and I will present you with a Re-Affirmation Certificate, a copy of your ceremony to keep as reminder of your special day.

Baby Naming Ceremonies

Many parents are choosing to have a naming ceremony for their baby/child rather than a religious christening or baptism, as it allows the child to choose their own beliefs when they are older.

The aim of the naming ceremony is to welcome the new centre of your universe into the family and introduced them to the loving circle of your relatives and friends. The naming can be either shortly after the baby’s birth or as part of their first birthday celebrations.

By including readings or poems especially chosen for the occasion, and by involving participation of family members and special people in your lives, we can make the day a moment in time that you, your family and your friends will always remember.

To celebrate your little ones day, I will present you with a Naming Certificate, a copy of the ceremony, and a candle as a keepsake to light each birthday!
